Accommodation
The Conference Committee has secured special low rates for very inexpensive
accommodations at New College inside the St. George Campus of the University
of Toronto, as well as at two major hotels in the vicinity of the University.
In addition, a quaint "bread-and-breakfast" facility near the University
(Madison Manor) is featured for those who prefer a homelike ambiance. All
hotels are within walking distance from the Conference site. The rates
are meant to suit a wide range of budgets. Prospective conferees are requested
and expected to get in touch with the accommodation of their choice and
make arrangements through the contacts given below. All prices are in Canadian
Dollars. The recommended accommodations are as follows (the quoted prices

This is a very economically priced accommodation inside the University
of Toronto, adjacent to our Conference site. Single room (one bed): $42.00/night.
Double room (two beds): $35.00/person/night. The above rates are
subject to 12% combined Provincial and Federal sales tax. The price includes
hot breakfast buffet.
The New College is next door to the Earth Sciences Building. For those
participants who will be staying elsewhere, but wish to have breakfast
there, and for accompanying persons, the hot breakfast buffet is very reasonably
priced at $6.15 (you just walk in). Inexpensive lunches will also be available
for accompanying persons during normal lunch hours.
