Conference & General Information
The 12th ICPPP will take place between
Monday June 24 and Thursday June 27, 2002.

The Conference will be held at the Earth Sciences Complex of the St. George (downtown) campus at the University of Toronto. The University of Toronto is located in downtown Toronto. (Earth Sciences Centre, 5 Bancroft Ave.; see building ES on the Campus Map by clicking for maps and directions to U of T below. Then click again for the UofT Campus Map). The Plenary Lectures, the IPPA Prize Ceremony and Lecture, and the Business Meeting will take place in the Earth Sciences Auditorium, Room 1050. Oral papers will be presented in the same auditorium, as well as in Rooms 142 and 149. Posters will be set up on specially provided poster boards inside the Stone Lobby of the Medical Sciences Building (Building MS on the UofT Map), 1 King's College Circle. The Conference Desk will be located in the Lobby of the Earth Sciences Auditorium.
Toronto is Canada's largest city and within easy access from anywhere in the world through the Pearson International Airport. Express buses and subway trains link the airport to the downtown and to the University. Specific details concerning transportation from the Airport to downtown Toronto will be posted at a later date. 
The Toronto weather in late June is usually pleasantly warm during the day with temperatures ranging in the mid to high twenties (oC). Night temperatures hover around 18 - 22oC. Shine and rain are equally probable.
